Their invention was as significant as that of the internet, coinciding with the introduction of the printing press: for the first time, mass dissemination of information became possible. Education, science, research, and even entertainment were placed on a new, technically and content-wise revolutionary foundation. Books continue to change society today. The technological capabilities of mass book printing led to a radical increase in titles during the 18th and 19th centuries. However, the conditions were still very different from today: those who wrote a book back then often created a lifelong work. This is reflected in the high quality of old books. Unfortunately, books age. Paper is not made to last forever. Therefore, we have made it our mission to preserve the knowledge of humanity and to make old books available in the highest quality possible at low prices.
