In times of economic turbulence, negative price movements often occur on the international financial markets, which many private investors did not expect and which they would not have thought possible. Currently, 71% of respondents to a study have lost confidence in the economic and financial system, at least in part, as a result of such developments. However, it is not only in times of crisis that the deficits in the education of many people with regard to basic financial possibilities and concepts become apparent. Many citizens are also unfamiliar with their own wishes and deeper knowledge of their self-initiated investment decisions. As a result of increasing personal responsibility for many decisions, such as the right pension provision, many people now feel the need for support in managing financial matters.
