The self-study course "Introduction to Brazilian Portuguese" teaches beginners, through 20 engaging lessons, not only the fundamental language structures but also a lot of interesting information about the country, its people, and culture. Tips for specific learning challenges and guidance on an optimal learning strategy accelerate progress. After every four lessons, a test can be taken to assess knowledge. Included in the appendix are a commented answer key, a grammar overview, and a bilingual alphabetical vocabulary list (approximately 500 words). The audio CDs featuring authentic language help train listening comprehension and raise awareness of correct pronunciation.
