Begegnung am Fudschijama

In Daisaku Ikeda, Tschingis Aitmatow has found a partner with whom he could take stock of his life and work. He had generally been rather taciturn and reserved when it came to sharing information about himself and his work. Now, he speaks personally, openly, and passionately, because "words die if we do not share them with others." A broader horizon is drawn, and previously unknown phases of life and areas of topics are explored. The thoughts, experiences, hopes, and fears expressed here are always intertwined with personal memories for Aitmatow. Both conversation partners reflect and contemplate possible solutions.
