Befehlsketten in der Sozialarbeit

In this work, the authors deal with the phenomenon of power. The focus is on the basic structure of power, the chain of command. The central question of this work is: How can social work break abusive chains of command? The methodological approach consists of processing the relevant professional literature. First, with the help of various specialized lexicons, there is an approach to the concept of power as well as a clarification of today's power relations according to Heinrich Popitz. Further the authors select the power concept and the power conception of Silvia Staub Bernasconi, in order to arrive from a general to a concrete power concept. With the help of Richard Sennett the chain of command is defined as well as the relation to social work is established. With the help of a case study, an abusive chain of command is illustrated.
