This book first gives a brief overview of hyperhidrosis, its diagnosis and therapy. Anatomical and physiological correlations are outlined. After all conservative therapies have been exhausted and the patient continues to suffer, CT-guided sympathicolysis and video-assisted sympathectomy are described in detail as the last resort in the therapeutic cascade. This is the first study to critically compare the outcome and side effects of CT-guided sympathicolysis and video-assisted sympathectomy.
