About the Work

With the Federal Fee Act that came into effect on August 15, 2013, and the accompanying General Fee Regulation, the fee law of the federal government has been fundamentally reformed. More than 200 laws have been consolidated, and a uniform fee calculation has been standardized. The Federal Fee Act applies to the fees and expenses of federal authorities and federal-related authorities, corporations, institutions, and foundations. It also serves as a benchmark for the corresponding regulations in state law. This book provides a concise and practical commentary on the Federal Fee Act and the General Fee Regulation. The focus of the commentary is on fee assessment and collection, types of fees, legal remedies, and reimbursement under the Federal Fee Act, as well as the determination of cost-covering fees according to the General Fee Regulation.
