The articles published in this volume are dedicated to the Peasants' War from a comparative perspective. They not only examine the demands of the rebelling peasants, but also the causes and background of the uprising, in particular the consequences of the late medieval constitutional change for everyday peasant life and the relationship of the peasants to the early Reformation, the conditions of peasant violence and its concretisation.The study of the peasants' relationship to the early Reformation, the conditions of peasant violence and its concretisation in the bloody deed of Weinsberg, as well as the role of noble actors such as Götz von Berlichingen or Florian Geyer von Giebelstadt. And, of course, the Peasants' War in Kraichgau and the Bruhrain is also discussed.
