Diabolus

The cryptographic division of the US intelligence agency NSA possesses a secret supercomputer capable of cracking any code and thus any encrypted message in a very short time. The computer is used when terrorists, drug dealers, and other criminals obscure their plans with coded texts, putting the security of the USA at risk. In the past, cryptographers were able to crack hundreds of codes daily—until the day Diabolus was deployed: a mysterious program that apparently overwhelms the supercomputer. The program's developer threatens to make Diabolus publicly accessible. If this program were to become the encryption standard, it would undermine the NSA's ability to effectively combat crime overnight. The agency's staff is pulling out all the stops to eliminate the looming risk.
