Der Menschenmacher

David lives with two other children with a man they call Father. The man keeps them captive and subjects them to impossible tests meant for them to grow - "evolve," as he says. When they fail, Father becomes very angry. He often uses a belt, sometimes a cigarette. The children have no choice: if they want to survive, they must kill Father. Twenty years later, David is a successful author. Yet he still dreams every night of the terrible murder they committed. One day, he receives a letter with a single word: Evolve. Father may not be dead after all. The past returns. And with it, a terrible truth.
