Basic Qualifications in Metal Technology was designed for 2-year training in metalworking occupations. In dual training, the textbook is suitable for machine and plant operators and metal technology specialists. It can also be used in vocational schools and in special measures for vocational qualification.
The book shows the necessary contents for the areas of "manufacturing processes, assembly processes, automation processes and maintenance processes". In addition, technical drawing exercises, areas from quality management and exercises on mathematical basics are addressed. Special emphasis was placed on simple language, pictorial presentation and methodical presentation of the contents appropriate to the target group. All formulae required for the exercises in the book are presented in detail with sample calculations.
In the 4th edition, a presentation of the workplace and the topic of injection moulding with exercises have been included.
