Product details

Metaphysics, as the royal discipline of philosophy, is the science of being as being, as Aristotle stated. It examines everything that exists, insofar as it is. This investigation forms the foundation for all further philosophical studies. The present second volume of the series "Philosophy of Common Sense" accordingly focuses on an analysis of the concept of being, the distinction between what something is and that it is, the properties of being, and the most general classification of everything that exists, namely the categories. Finally, there is a detailed inquiry into the nature of space and time. This introductory course is primarily aimed at those interested in philosophy and students in the foundational study of philosophy. The basis is Aristotelian-Thomistic philosophy.
