Basic Beats

Rhythm in the group brings joy, awakens and enlivens, stimulates concentration and communication, and shows paths to creativity and improvisation. This booklet contains small percussion pieces in varying degrees of difficulty, specifically designed for teaching practice in classes and groups. They can be easily integrated into everyday lessons without significant spatial or instrumental effort. Many of the arrangements can be realized with pure body percussion and voice, while others incorporate everyday objects. Drums and percussion instruments can be used alternatively or additionally if available. The spoken pieces, featuring student-relevant themes from everyday life, sports, and games, also provide beginners, supported by the group's basic groove, with initial playful improvisation opportunities. Creative extensions are included.
