Balance etc

This archival volume summarizes Gertrude Moser-Wagner's most important projects and works from the past ten years. The concept of work for the project artist and sculptor has an exploratory outward focus—towards places, streets, cities, as well as nature and animals. Words and found objects have always questioned this sculptural practice: action, the concrete filtering of something from everything. Concepts of liveliness. The open-air studio often serves as a place of study, allowing for otherness and travel. Movable, relational structures emerge in various media and materials. Gestures in space, drawn from what is at hand. Many of her recent projects are committed to future processes. Her conceptual approach is poetically political. An overview attempts to establish a balance that does not exist in physics—comparable to the Earth, on which everything stands or wobbles, constantly renewing itself. Subtly, the life of resistance permeates this art, becoming a critique of the existing. Such projects are often carried out in a participatory manner.
