Nirvana

In Aberdeen, a rainy small town in the state of Washington, not much happens. This is where young Kurt Cobain grows up. Difficult family circumstances, problems at school, and the drudgery of everyday life: from his friendship with bassist Krist Novoselic, Nirvana is born. With a roaring sound, straightforward lyrics, and a disdain for consumer society, the Nirvana wave sweeps away everything in its path. The small stages in Seattle soon give way to world tours. The success is as brief as it is intense. Cobain takes his own life in April 1994, bringing to an end a remarkable body of work that turned the rules of rock upside down. 20 strips from a new generation of Franco-Belgian comic artists are accompanied by biographical texts and extensive photographic material. This allows for a completely new way to experience Nirvana.
