This book provides a comprehensive overview of the state of development and the development trends in the automotive catalytic converter system up to Euro5. In particular, the complex interaction of many components and disciplines involved in the "catalytic converter" is elaborated, without which continuous further development and adaptation to new boundary conditions (legislation, engine concepts, fuel qualities) would not be possible.
