A phonetic analysis. The work addresses the characteristics of pronunciation errors made by German-speaking Japanese learners from a phonetic perspective. Texts read by five native German speakers and one native Japanese speaker are used as the starting point for comparison. The resulting IPA transcription of the readings serves as a basis for comparison and highlights the significant differences between native speakers and second language learners.
