This is the final volume of three manuals designed as a training foundation for the professions of media designer and video editor. All three works are aligned with the curricula of the ministries of education. They thus serve as preparatory, accompanying, and advanced literature throughout the entire training in these professions. Due to updates from previous editions, a comprehensive compendium of modern video and audio technology is also available, for which the renowned SRT, the School for Broadcast Technology in Nuremberg, is responsible, drawing on over 30 years of experience. Volume III builds consistently on Volume II and covers topics such as techniques in digital video and audio studios (including server structures, asset management, and metadata), networks (from ISDN to SDH and ATM to HYBNET), and data compression (including MPEG-4 and MPEG-7).
