In his lecture series on the four Gospels, Rudolf Steiner provided his listeners with deep insights into the spiritual content of these revelations. During this lecture activity, he also presented findings from spiritual scientific research regarding the actual historical life of Jesus of Nazareth up to the baptism in the Jordan. Rudolf Steiner referred to these research results as the "Fifth Gospel" or the "Gospel of Knowledge." Key themes of the lectures include: the childhood and youth experiences of Jesus of Nazareth, his profound experiences of knowledge regarding the decline of the old great spiritual currents, the revelation of the macrocosmic Our Father, the relationship with the Essenes and John the Baptist, as well as experiences on the way to the baptism in the Jordan.
