This extraordinary cookbook showcases what modern, regional, and sustainable nutrition can look like – featuring contributions, interviews, and recipes filled with a love for the forest and game. At the forefront of this cookbook are delicious creations made from local game meat, forest mushrooms and herbs, as well as fresh berries and fruits that inspire you to cook and enjoy. The recipes were created by star chef Daniel Schmidthaler, who has established a regional, high-quality culinary culture with his restaurant Alte Schule in Fürstenhagen. This book project is supported by the State Forests of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, which stand for years of tradition and service to the forest and the community.
