This Eranos volume on the theme of Apocalypse is a plea for the awakening of the inner human through consciousness transformation and a new attitude towards the divine-spiritual. It is not the world that is at an end, but the consciousness of modernity. By acknowledging finitude, a new way of thinking and a redeemed understanding of time emerge. Apocalypse, understood anew today, regains its meaning and reveals its cosmic events.
