Auf Klimaspuren

In 42 stages, Köbi Gantenbein, Dominik Sieg­rist, Zoe Stadler, Sylvain Badan, and Lucie Wiget embarked on a public and widely noticed hike across Switzerland in 2021. Along with them, around 700 people sought traces of the impact of climate change on nature, culture, and society on the route from Ilanz to Geneva. The Climate Traces hiking group visited farmers, inventors, scientists, entrepreneurs, architects, and mayors who are utilizing opportunities to take action against the climate catastrophe with their initiatives. Climate Traces demonstrated alongside local committees and activists for "Net Zero subito": against road construction, for pesticide-free agriculture, against the cement industry, for fossil-free mobility, and for a financial sector that operates in a consistently climate-friendly manner.

The book documents this adventure and illustrates, through 70 texts and 200 images, how climate change is affecting us. "Climate Traces: An Expedition from Ilanz to Geneva" is a picture and reading book, supplemented with information about paths, landscapes, hotels, and restaurants along the Climate Traces hiking route across Switzerland.
