In its fifth edition, the textbook remains accessible and compact in structure and content. Martin Kompis has completely revised, updated, and supplemented the material. Among other things, a section on directional hearing has been newly added, and the chapters on hearing aids and cochlear implants have been updated to reflect the current state of technology.
