The collection includes previously unpublished documents, handwritten excerpts from letters, and photos of Veening, one of the great pioneers of Western breath work, who worked in various locations across Europe in the last century. Without historical models, he developed his own method as early as the late 1930s, which is carefully documented throughout the contributions. Veening's texts, diverse memories, course notes, and statements from numerous direct students, as well as contemporary breathing teachers' approaches to his life and work, testify to the uniqueness and relevance of Veening's breathing work.
