Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Secret knowledge and a forbidden weapon. England, the settlement of Ravensthorpe in the 9th century. After being kidnapped by Eivor, a powerful leader of the Vikings, Edward, a monk and scribe, tries to understand the reasons behind his brother Ecbert's suicide. Among his writings are strange parchment pages covered in a kind of secret language. No one knows the origin of these seemingly occult symbols, but Edward has seen such signs before - in the workshop of Hytham, a wise man who took Edward under his wing. Hytham belongs to a secret order known as "The Hidden Ones." An order that could finally provide Edward with answers and fulfill his desire for freedom and knowledge. At Hytham's suggestion, he sets out for Lunden, accompanied by Niels, a talented yet impulsive young Viking warrior. Upon arrival, their skills are unexpectedly tested early on when they stumble upon a cult with disturbing practices. This leads them to the mysterious moorlands of Scotland, where they must face dangerous challenges amid Edward's investigations. This historical adventure with a touch of occultism is the latest incarnation of Ubisoft's game hit Assassin's Creed in the world of comics. In a completely new story, Mathieu Gabella and Paolo Traisci intertwine the world of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with the elements that define the series: action and mysteries, community and betrayal, history and myth.
