Product details
The second anthology in the series. Writers delve into the texts of the artist and poet Jean/Hans Arp (1886 - 1966). Arp is one of the most important poets of the 20th century, who, alongside a broad artistic oeuvre, has left behind poems of great brilliance. His poetics of direct linguistic access continues to shape contemporary poetry in Europe. The anthology brings together texts and images from fellows of the Arp im Ohr program. This is a residency grant at the Rolandseck train station in connection with the nearby Arp Museum. It features, among other things, poems from a journey to Arp's homeland of Alsace by Tom Schulz, prose poems around the Schwitters "arpsenil" formula, as well as Arp apocrypha by Norbert Lange, a Nimrod cycle by the Luxembourg poet Jean Portante, the very idiosyncratic prose texts of Paul Watermann, poems and photos by the German-French-Argentinian poet Léonce W. Lupette, a Google search with Dada qualities by Dagmara Kraus, and collages by Safiye Can. A project of the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck and the Künstlerhaus Edenkoben. Safiye Can was born in Offenbach am Main to Circassian parents and lives in Frankfurt am Main. Dagmara Kraus, born in 1981 in Wrocław, lives in Strasbourg. Léonce W. Lupette, born in 1986 in Göttingen, lives in Frankfurt am Main and Buenos Aires. Norbert Lange, born in 1978 in Gdynia, lives in Berlin. Jean Portante, born in 1950 in Differdingen/Luxembourg to Italian parents, lives in Paris. Tom Schulz, born in 1970 in Grossröhrdorf, lives in Berlin and Italy. Paul Watermann, born in 1986 in Melle, lives in Berlin.
