Armin – Ein Junge mit Autismus in der Schule

This book is about an autistic student and the experiences with him during everyday school life. Through stories, it describes how the group of children, as well as all the responsible adults, had to learn to live with the boy, sometimes even to "survive." These are touching stories, beautiful and encouraging alongside challenging and desperate ones. Following this, the boy is indirectly portrayed: the child psychologists contribute their professional perspectives on autism in general, its manifestations and various forms, as well as the specific diagnosis of the boy. Furthermore, his teachers, school aides, mother, and finally the boy himself have their say in detail, creating an authentic multi-perspective picture. In conclusion, it summarizes the conditions for successful inclusion that can be derived for schools from these experiences.
