Emmanuel Guibert, born in Paris in 1964, has made a name for himself as a comic artist and scenarist and has worked with Joann Sfar and Christophe Blain, among others. With "Ariol" (drawn by Marc Boutavant) he has created a character with whom many young readers can identify. In his comics for big readers, such as in "The Photographer" or "Journeys to the Roma" (both Edition Moderne), he often deals with political topics. Marc Boutavant, born in 1970 in Dijon, France, lives and works in Paris. Marc Boutavant is one of the style-defining illustrators of his generation and is particularly known for his colourful works for children. Like the stories about his bear "Mouk", "Ariol" has now also been filmed for television.
