Architekturführer Prag

Zdenek Lukes, born in 1954, is an architect and architectural historian. From 1980 to 1990, he worked at the architectural archive of the National Technical Museum in Prague and was actively involved in the Velvet Revolution of 1989. From 2000 to 2003, he served as a professor of modern architectural history and dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the Technical University in Liberec. Since 2004, he has been teaching at the University of New York in Prague. He has curated numerous international traveling exhibitions, including: Architect Emil Králícek (2004-2005), Czech Architectural Cubism (2008), and Prague Functionalism (2012). He is the author of countless scholarly articles and more than 50 publications on modern architecture.

Petr Kratochvíl, born in 1950 in Prague, is a research fellow at the Institute of Art History of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague and a professor of modern architectural history at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University in Liberec. His recent publications include: Soucasná česká architektura a její témata (Contemporary Czech Architecture and Its Themes, Prague 2011) and Mestský verejný prostor (Urban Public Space, Prague 2015). He was the curator of the exhibition Verejný prostor CZ. Krajina Mesta (Public Space CZ. Landscape City) at the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery, Prague (2017).

Pavel Hroch, born in 1967 in Bogotá, is a photographer and interpreter (Russian, Spanish). He has produced photo reports from Mexico, Russia, the Romanian Banat, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Cuba, Spain, and Slovakia, among others. His latest publication is Chtíc po svobode - první roky po sametové revoluci (Lust for Freedom - The First Years After the Velvet Revolution, Prague 2014).
