Berlin and its significant architectural history are explored step by step in this volume by four renowned experts. The architecture guide to Berlin, now in its seventh edition, describes and documents nearly 1,000 buildings and building groups of all types and eras across the Berlin districts. The volume has been thoroughly revised and expanded by about 140 objects—both existing and newly constructed—as well as new illustrations, some of which are in color. In recent years, the architectural landscape of Berlin has changed dramatically. Many eye-catching construction projects have been completed, such as the reconstruction of the Neues Museum led by David Chipperfield, the redevelopment of Friedrichswerder, and the new library building designed by Norman Foster for the Free University. Additionally, numerous smaller projects like the Badeschiff and several noteworthy ones have also emerged.
