This work contains a current and practical presentation of the provisions of the individual employment contract according to Articles 319 et seq. of the Swiss Code of Obligations, commented on by 29 authors from the legal profession. Special emphasis is placed on the presentation of central issues in labor law practice. These include, among others, immediate and abusive termination, the protection of employees' personalities, bullying and bossing, employment references, aspects of data protection, and the process of mass layoffs. Furthermore, the work delves into numerous current topics such as remote work, workplace surveillance, labor law during the pandemic, and the legislative revisions regarding paternity and parental leave. This work illustrates the current state of Swiss labor law in all its diverse facets, making it a valuable resource not only for legal professionals but also for other interested parties.
