In many companies, the responsible electrician is traditionally also appointed as the safety officer. This book describes the origins and scope of personal responsibility for safety, the preconditions for liability for occupational accidents and concretises role models and responsibilities from three directions: - Responsibility of the employer, who has the organisational duty. - Responsibility of the managing directors, team leaders and company employees who are to support safety representatives. - Responsibility of the safety representatives themselves - as well as their selection, order, legal status, tasks and duties, their powers of instruction and duties of implementation and intervention, and liability risks they may have as company employees.
