Anton Schmaus is the chef of the German national football team and a star chef in the medieval Bavarian city of Regensburg. In his first cookbook, Anton Schmaus invites readers on a culinary journey to the places of his previous work and presents his favourite recipes. The individual gastronomic stations in his life form the basis of the respective recipes. Each recipe chapter begins with a personal intro in which he talks about this journey and the dishes he has created. He starts at Hotel Schmaus in Viechtach in the Bavarian Forest, where he grew up with traditional cuisine, and visits his former places of work in star gastronomy in Lugano, St. Moritz, Stockholm or New York. Anton Schmaus is concerned that his dishes can be recreated by anyone. In addition to his Michelin-starred restaurant Storstadt in the same building in Regensburg, the Upper Palatinate native also offers trendy fusion cuisine at Sticky Fingers, which can also be found in the book. And of course, there are also dishes here that the German national football players particularly enjoy.
