Anthropologie in der klassischen deutschen Philosophie

The question of the nature of the human being as a question about ourselves is a genuinely philosophical one. Often, classical drafts of philosophical anthropology are considered to be primarily those of the late 19th and 20th centuries, which emerged in confrontation with the expanding findings of the individual sciences. However, this focus neglects the fundamental and independent answer to the question that was already given in classical German philosophy. Here we find an intensive reflection on how the question can be answered at all and what conditions human nature entails for a rational life. The authors of the present volume show the necessity of dealing with these approaches.
