Antéchrista

Amélie Nothomb tells the story of the friendship between two young girls in 'Antéchrista' (2003, in German 'Böses Mädchen'). Blanche, a loner, befriends the popular Christa, who quickly wins over Blanche's parents, moves in with her, and increasingly pushes her aside: she is the 'Antéchrista', who has come to lead Blanche into misfortune in a devilish way. This is a dialogue-rich and sharp-tongued novel with drive.
