From the jury's statement: "The Friedrich Hölderlin Prize 2011 of the city of Bad Homburg v.d.Höhe (Cläre Jannsen Foundation) is awarded to Arno Geiger for his literary work to date, especially for those books that have been created and published since 2005. In that year, he was honored with the promotional award for the Hölderlin Prize, and subsequently, Arno Geiger has impressively demonstrated with the novels 'Es geht uns gut' and 'Alles über Sally', the short story collection 'Anna nicht vergessen', and the father report 'Der alte König in seinem Exil', published this spring, that he belongs to the top tier of contemporary literature.
