Recent history and social reality as a crumbling backdrop to our memory The deserted space is what interests photographer Anna Lehmanns-Braun (born 1968 in Berlin, lives and works in Berlin) - deserted, but bulging with images of collective and personal memory. Only seemingly cool and distant, she gives her motifs, which she produces exclusively analog and in found light situations, an aura of mystery and loneliness, some situations seem almost surreal. By chance, on a trip to Poland, she came across a production facility for fairground equipment and figures for amusement parks that seemed abandoned at first glance. Production is still going on here today, but a large part of the stock is rotting away. Under a highly toxic layer of fiberglass dust, "Dick and Doof" join pigs, angels and wild Tie.
