Ankommen in der Schule

The successful integration of children and young people with experience of escape is one of the central current challenges facing the German education system and the everyday work of teachers. Learning together with children from different linguistic, cultural and religious backgrounds is on the one hand a great opportunity for educational work. On the other hand, there are substantial challenges that are faced by actors at all levels of the education system - educational policy, educational administration, school administrators, teachers, other educational staff, parents and the learners themselves. This volume with contributions from science and practice is dedicated to current developments and structural framework conditions as well as to some of the most important topics: integration in the classroom, the promotion of language.
