Product details
Anja Kampe is a German soprano singer. She stumbled into opera singing by chance; originally, she wanted to learn the guitar. Her music teacher at the music school heard her singing by coincidence and suggested that she take singing lessons. She remained loyal to her hometown and her first music teacher until her high school graduation. Afterwards, she studied singing at the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music in Dresden. The artist then moved to Turin, where she completed her studies at the local conservatory. Anja Kampe made her debut at the Teatro Regio in Turin in 1991 as Gretel in the opera Hansel and Gretel. The young singer won several competitions, including the International Music Competition Giovanni Battista Viotti in Vercelli and the third International Competition for Wagner Voices in Saarbrücken.
