Anja Jacobs (born 1974 in Itzehoe) is a German film director. After graduating from high school in 1993, Anja Jacobs began studying communication design at the Hanseatic Academy for Marketing and Media in Hamburg, completing her degree in 1997. She then worked freelance for various advertising agencies in Hamburg. From 1998 to 2003, Anja Jacobs studied Scenic Direction at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. She earned her diploma with the short film "Wolfsschlucht," which was screened at many international festivals and received several awards, including the AFI Grand Jury Award in 2002 and a nomination at the 30th Student Academy Awards in 2003.
