Product details
Andy Borg (November 2, 1960, in Vienna; actually Adolf Andreas Meyer) is an Austrian schlager singer and presenter. After completing secondary school, Andy Borg trained as a mechanic and attended vocational school in Amstetten, Lower Austria. He was discovered by Kurt Feltz for the schlager business during a competition organized by ORF (Die grosse Chance) and initially sang in the folk music scene. His breakthrough in the schlager business came in 1982 with the hit "Adios Amor." This was followed by further hits such as "Arrivederci," "Claire," "Die berühmten drei Worte," and "Ich will nicht wissen, wie du heisst." In 1990, he participated in the Grand Prix der Volksmusik with child star Alexandra. Their song "Komm setz' di auf an Sonnenstrahl" reached 3rd place behind the Kastelruther Spatzen and the Alpentrio Tirol.
