Andreas Wiebe, born on June 11, 1957, in Bielefeld, is a German regional politician who served as the government president of the Detmold district from 2001 to 2005. He has been a member of Alliance 90/The Greens since 1994. He succeeded the party's first government president, Christa Vennegerts, who resigned early for health reasons. As a smaller coalition party in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Greens were entitled to a government presidency following the elections due to proportional representation. After the state elections in 2005, he lost his position to Marianne Thomann-Stahl from the FDP.
