Analytical imagination

This Festschrift is published on the occasion of the 65th birthday of Harm-Peer Zimmermann - Professor and Chair of Popular Literatures and Media at the Institute of Social Anthropology and Empirical Cultural Studies - Popular Cultures - at the University of Zurich. It brings together articles by companions, colleagues and friends from the fields of cultural theory, age research, narrative research and popular culture research. The articles are related in different ways to Harm-Peer Zimmermann's thinking and research. In their interplay, they express an epistemic attitude that fundamentally shapes Zimmermann's work: his analytical imagination, which time and again enables original approaches to empirical cultural studies.
