During the analysis period from 2007 to 2018, the economic policy measures implemented by the Congolese state to achieve macroeconomic goals and improve the country's economic situation in general were not carried out to a significant extent. Regarding price stability, the inflation rate remained high: the average inflation rate from 2007 to 2018 was 16%. The inflation forecasts did not meet the criteria set by the Association of African Central Banks, which stipulates that member countries must achieve an annual inflation rate in the single digits, meaning an annual inflation rate of less than 3%. The unemployment rate remained very high at an average of 65%. The growth achieved was characterized by underemployment and poverty growth, as it did not contribute to poverty alleviation, and poverty remained very high according to the global ranking of human development indicators.
