Sandra Meinke, a criminal commissioner with the Hamburg police, feels like she has landed on a sidetrack. Her current assignment is unsatisfying, and her superior is a disaster. To make matters worse, no one takes her theory about a professional child trafficking ring seriously. So she continues her investigations in her free time until a serious mistake puts her directly in the crosshairs of the criminals. Daniel Eddings, a member of the American special forces Navy SEALs, has previously collaborated with the Hamburg State Criminal Police Office. After he saves Sandra at the last moment from being kidnapped herself, she shares her suspicion that children are being kidnapped on demand. He is the first to believe her. Together, they uncover evidence that supports Sandra's theory, but also face resistance from within their own ranks.
