Am Freitag sehen wir uns wieder

Most of the time, 14-year-old Juni lives with her father in Potsdam - thankfully! Her mother is a real control freak; everything has to be planned, and there’s no room for freedom. Juni hates that! And now she has to spend her vacation with her mother in Berlin because her father has to travel for work. But then Juni meets Sahal, a refugee boy from Somalia who is hiding in a cemetery in Kreuzberg. Sahal is facing deportation because the authorities consider him an adult. On top of that, he has gotten involved with criminal circles. Juni immediately decides that she has to help him. However, the more she learns about Sahal and his story, the more she distances herself from her beloved father, and eventually, she runs away too. It’s a fortunate coincidence that she meets Karl, an old friend who offers shelter to her and Sahal.
