Product details
This work examines the possibilities of alternative technical solutions in the drivetrain of a car. In the context of CO2 reduction, it aims to provide an alternative approach for the winding of electromagnets. Specifically, the substitution of copper with aluminum is investigated. The properties of both materials are compared, and a comprehensive ecological and economic comparison is conducted. Furthermore, the hidden emissions associated with copper and aluminum are illustrated using life cycle assessments, and the CO2 emissions during the usage phase in automobiles are compared. The results indicate a need for action from both ecological and economic perspectives for companies.
