Freshly created for a modern training program in nursing with a generalist focus: three years well-equipped! The new "AltenpflegeHeute" covers the entire training regulation and is structured according to the five competency areas of generalist training. Fundamentals, anatomy, and pathology are fully addressed. Nevertheless, it places the elderly person at the center of care, making it ideal for trainees who begin and complete their training in a geriatric care facility. All content is vividly illustrated with care situations from elderly care, thus meeting the new requirements of generalist training for the competency development of trainees. As the core of nursing work, the nursing process runs through all chapters and provides caregivers with the basic competencies they need for caring for people of various ages. The work covers numerous nursing diagnoses that are significant in the care of older adults. A special advantage: the structure of chapters 9 to 14 is oriented around the thematic areas (cognition and communication, mobility and flexibility, etc.) of structured information collection, making it extremely practical, especially for the setting of "inpatient long-term care."
