Product details

Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) came from a Protestant pastor's family, attended the renowned state school in Pforta near Naumburg, studied in Bonn and Leipzig, and became a professor of classical philology in Basel at the age of 25. He was a brilliant thinker, a master of language, and a talented musician and composer. His life was marked by problematic relationships, such as with Richard Wagner and Lou Andreas-Salomé, and ended in the oppressive solitude of madness.

The Übermensch, the will to power, and the eternal recurrence of the same. These are the central themes of the great philosopher and critic Nietzsche. These are the teachings that his Zarathustra develops to give a new meaning against the paralyzing nihilism of the world. A book for everyone and no one, it has resonated worldwide for over 100 years with incomparable eloquence and poetry.
