Allgemeines Verwaltungsrecht mit Verwaltungslehre

This book aims to impart knowledge, stimulate understanding, and guide methodical work in administrative law.

The textbook covers:

• the general theories regarding the legal binding nature and the scope of discretion of the administration, its organization, and its procedures,
• the forms of action of the administration and the related legality standards, as well as the typical errors in administrative actions,
• furthermore, the general rules concerning public law relationships, public property law, administrative enforcement, and the control of the administration - including an introduction to administrative procedural law and the compensation for the consequences of administrative actions (state liability law).

It also addresses the influences of constitutional law and European Community law on German administrative law. Discussions on the historical development of central legal institutions aim to enhance students' ability to not only treat legal problems as subsumptions under norms and concepts but also to assess their significance and evaluate them independently.
